Yep. You can put any oil in your drive.

Oem recommended is high performance straight 90 wt. Ymmv

There is a great story about the bravo drive. Takes place in 1984 at lake x. 1988 proved fatal for most bravo 1 drives.

Merc/quicksilver High Perf gear lube onky comes in SAE 90 weight , no way to get the wrong one… walmart usually has it at best prices

That’s the Premium Gear Lube. Different product. You want the High Performance Gear Lube.
I’ve used it in my OMC Cobra for 15+ years at the advice of my now retired mechanic. It runs quiet and shifts like new.

As Lou Said that is Premium Gear Lube which is clear brownish yellow in color. The High Perf gear lube is bluish green, can't confuse the two.

While it used to be spec'd for the older alpha one gen one (1990 and older) Premium lube is now labeled for outboards and jet pumps 75 hp and lower. I suspect this is to prevent people from using it in the newer Alpha One Gen 2 drives.

80-90 is lower 75HP ....
90 is higher HP ... my alpha 1 is 90 .........170 HP...blue is the 90 color ...
