Hi -
I have a 1984 Suzuki DT-140. This engine was running strong, but I had to stop running it. It sat for about 18 months.
I just tried to start the engine, and I get no spark.
I have bypassed the kill switch in the control unit, and the electric choke is working, It turns over great, but no spark.
Since this engine ran fine before sitting, I am thinking it's something basic (since none of the four power packs is firing.) The fuses in the engine are good. I am thinking the problem is in the control unit, since it was exposed to the weather.
Does anyone know what the neutral switch does? It looks rusted, but I haven't pulled it yet.
Thanks a lot - David
