I have an 83-85 suzuki dt 85 I cannot get to start. The motor was rebuilt with new pistons rings and reed valves. The motor had the auto oiler removed and I just mix the oil in the gas. It ran like this for years until some friendly dirt daubers got the cylinders one year. The engine will try to start with the choke for less than a minute not giving me enough time to check the timing. the oil gas ratio is 50:1 per the manuel for breakin period. The carburators have been removed taken apart and cleaned. I tried to check the recomended float clearence removed all the jets from inside the bowl on top and the air intake in the front and cleaned them. all ports seem to be open. The air valve is set to 1 1/4 turn from lite seat. I even looked inside the intakes for obstructions. All reeds seem to be closed. I took off the fuel line at the filter and the fuel pump is working. I removed the fuel line off the top carb and it is getting fuel. I also checked the compression on each cylinder and have 120-125 psi for each. Any help will be appreciated. This is just a note for those reading. I like the dt 85 it would push my 15 foot skeeter about 50 to 60 mph with scoured cylinders. This speed was checked with other boats.
