dt30 looses power

starts fine,idles fine,no trouble otherwise,but after running wide open it suddenly starts to fade .i back off the throttle and it maintains steady then back to full eventually [10 to 30 secs] it starts again. one more thing if i pump the ball it will resume normal power.

I don't know for sure but it sounds like it may be fuel flow. Maybe a blockage in fuel line or a fuel pump diaphragm going bad. I also had a similar problem and it was a loose fuel line and when I'd get to WOT it would suck air. It wouldn't stop or even sputter but it would slow. Tightened the line and it was OK.

I had the same problem with my DT30, even after a carb rebuild, but it seemed that there must have still been dirt in there somewhere .... just ran it with fuel system cleaner and new spark plugs and it was great again ....
