Re: DT75 Issues

To everyone else, I have read and re-read the manual on the timing procedure. Apparently it says to adjust the throttle stop screw until the engine reaches 1000 rpms. My question is where is the throttle stop screw at? In lower HP boats, there seems to be an actual screw on the top carb or only carb but there is no such screw on mine. The dang manual does not show a picture of that procedure. Also, I still haven't figured out where to put the tach lead but I think what I'm going to do is splice the leads from the control box and connect it there. Is that a good idea? Any advice is welcomed except from 99yam40.

Thanks

Re: DT75 Issues

Most manuals do tell you how to hook a meter up on the motor, but maybe not the boat, maybe you got ripped off.
But since you will not say what you have , how can anyone help.
Maybe what you bought is not even for a outboard motor
