dumb computer question

When I run a full system scan with norton, should I be connected on line or off? :confused:

I usually close down all program at the time I run a scan. Always done it that way.<br /><br />It probably dosen't matter since your scanning your harddrive, but I would suggest to run it alone. It'll slow down your other programs and internet anyway.<br /><br />My 2 cents.

Ditto on what LF says.<br /><br />Why not set up your scanner to run every night automatically? Set it up to scan when you normally sleep.

My Norton scans the system automatically at 4:00 AM, about the only time I am guaranteed not to be on iboats.<br /><br />Because I have wireless broadband, it is also online at that time.
