I found this at the autoparts store... I had no Cabosil, and they were out of Ooops! Peanut Butter. I needed to do some filleting.

It's kinda like bondo, but has more resin and lots of stranded glass.

Any body ever used it? I just did...layed in and tooled pretty nice. It kicks pretty quick, and can be shaped in 1/2 hour....Not bad.

.....but i would imagine you have just found peanut butter in a can !

now we just gotta paint some squrrils on it

It's poly resin, glass, silica gel, and talc. Here's the msds. Sounds like Peanut Butter to me. I would prefer they call it catalyst and not hardener but w/e.

This stuff is similar to "KITTY HAIR", "DURAGLAS" & "BONDOGLAS". I hope you are quick and can get it right the 1st time. It is tough to sand. You may end up grinding. Have a 1" brush with some acetone handy and smooth your work before it starts to "kick".

That stuff works fine for fillets. As has been said, try to get it shaped before it hardens though, because afterward will be a problem. Personally I have to do the same with my wood flour putty anyway....

Ayuh,......

That's just the typical Polyester based Tiger Hair,.......
As long as you're doing a Polyester based rebuild,.. It'll be Fine.....
It's Not for use with any Epoxy products though.....

It's available at Any autobody supply house.........
