Port bank from top to bottom:
100
100
95

Starboard from top to bottom:
105
105
100

Did a decarb but didn't have time to recheck the compression #s. Looks like they're all within 10% of one another.

Any comments?

Oh, she's running fine by the way. I was just curious and was changing the spark plugs so....

We look for no more than 15 lbs difference from high to low. You're good to go. Those heads are made like that, the lower cylinder has slightly less static compression. And it's typical one side is about 5 lbs higher than the other.

Thanks guys! I was hoping for that kind of response :D

About the decarb; I followed the procedure in the ngine FAQ with the small aux tank. Ran it through and let it sit twice. It smoked some but I was expecting black smoke. It looked blue to me. Like oil burning. Cleared right up ( well back to normal ) after I went back to the main tank. Sound normal?

Yep, normal. You might see some black in the water as it exits the prop area.

As for the plugs, make sure you use Champions. Not something that's "the same as a Champion" but Champion plugs.

Thanks Dale.

10-4 on the plugs. I installed QL78YC. The manual called for QL82YC but, I couldn't find them. The motor had the QL78YCs in it when I bought it. Do you know what the difference is between the two?

That's fine. I like the QL77JC4's myself beacuse they're a tad cooler and they don't have the extended reach which puts the spark right on top of the piston. You'll be fine. Just make sure to run fresh 87 octane.
