eagle depth finder not working

I replaced in-line fuse and depth seems to work ok, but when I start engine it blows fuse. Are their any suggestions of what is going on here?<br /> Thanks in advance of any replies. Terry

Yup, get a multimeter and check the current draw with the engine off, it will probably be a few amperes or less, watch the meter, preferrably an analog type, and crank up engine, bet the voltage goes down and the fish finder draws excessive current for some mysterious reason, poss clean the fuse holder , corrosion. If around salt water,the device may have internal problems these things are made like everything else, DISPOSABLE
