Correct. Expect to see an increase of 300 to 400 RPM for the 2 inch decrease in pitch.

Count your Blessings
Not your troubles
:)

Re: easy prop question

We would rather work with the set up first -- before reducing pitch -- to gain rpm. You stand a better chance of increasing efficiency that way.

Good luck!

Re: easy prop question

Not necessarily.RPM increase would depend on whether the two props in question were of the same manufacturer , composition , and cup design. You may have decreased the pitch using the same brand and style prop , but you didn't mention so in your post. Also the fact that the reduced pitch prop has added diameter factors in to the equation.
