Re: ebay listing price for 1150
Were it me I think I'd hold off till the beginning of "the season" and try to sell the thing as a package deal.

That said, older boat / motor / trailer setups still don't fetch a lot of money on the open market.

You know, another way to get into a new(er) boat is to do what I did. Though it takes a lot more work. I bought a 2000 Seaswirl with a 115 Jonnyrude on it, (very little use) for about 9k on Ebay. Then I found a buyer for the 115 Jonnyrude and rigged the outboard/controller/ignition harness in thier boat for 4k. The rigging is what cinched the deal. I drove away with a virtually new boat and trailer for a measly 5k, plus gas, plus a couple days of time. Then I rigged my beloved old Merc on the new boat in the driveway. Lastly I sold my old hull (88 Four Winns) and trailer for $400 just to make it go away fast.

My point being, the more time, effort, driving, and work you wanna put into getting a new boat, the less money it'll cost ya.

-W
