Hey Guys,

I just recently acquired a 1985-1986 Ebbtide dynatrak boat and was wondering if there is anyone here that knows a thing or two about them? I am not sure of the model yet as I have yet to get it, but it is not a fish and ski, i dont believe it has live wells and it has no bow mounted trolling motor (if anyone knows by the picture let me know). I got a great deal from a friend of mine who is older and just wanted to get rid of it. Its a little dusty but overall, in great shape. The motor is a 150 XR2 and runs great, the water pump was just rebuilt and the carbs have been linked and synced and rebuilt also this past year. It was in the water last season and ran great and has been used occasionally over the past 10 years.

From the little info I have gathered, the ebbtide dynatraks were ahead of their time in the 80's. If some of you guys can point out things to look for with these older boats that would be great. I know they have wood floors and stringers and am pretty handy, so if that becomes a problem I can attempt to replace that. The floor is solid however and has always been stored inside which helps.

Also, how difficult would it be to put a bow mounted trolling motor on it?

Thanks guys.

Re: Ebbtide Dynatrak boats?

Everyone on here that's had one like it. As you said there is wood (I've seen some rebuilt as projects) however if it's always been dry and you keep it that way, I see no reason for concern. Looks like a great package! Without a good picture your bow, I can't comment on the bow mount situation. I can't imagine it would be too difficult. A lot of Dynatraks had them so I'd be doing a google image search or something to see if I could find a similar boat with one mounted.

Thank you for the reply! For how popular of a boat they seemed to have been back in the 80's, there sure is very little information about them. I am not sure of the model, but I do know that it is not an SS, but it is 18 ft still. Im sure a standard bow mount 50# minn kota with some wiring and an extra battery would do the trick. Any thoughts on fixing cracks or tears in the seats if there are any? I am assuming you would have to replace the vinyl, but that means I would have to replace all of the seats then most likely since I am sure they are slightly aged and discolored.

Also, any idea how heavy this package is?

Wow...what a nice looking boat. Post the HIN...I'm pretty sure someone can lead to ID info you're looking for. Best of Luck!

I have the same boat. Love it. two live wells, and bow mount trolling mator 45lb thrust 12/24volt. It is tough. I have a 150 johnson.

Re: Ebbtide Dynatrak boats?

We just purchased a 1983 Ebbtide Dyna-trak fish and ski boat. The passenger and driver seat need to be replaced. Does anyone know where I can find replacement seats for this year and type of boat?
