ECM doesn't match model on leg of motor.

I have a 2000 E150FSLSSM motor yet when I plug it into the laptop it comes up with a model E150FPXSSM. Is this due to someone swapping the ECM at some point in the boats life or might it be due to the newer V4.2 software not recognizing it properly? Any thoughts?

As old as the mtr is somebody could have swapped the ECM. Call BRP customer service at 1-847-689-7090 and they may have some answers as to the programs for your computor.

Might be better to call CDI electronics, they are better on those engines.

I can't see anything wrong with with BRP as they built the mtr and they have some very smart techs up there.
