edge 55 mounting help please

I need some fresh eyes looking at this. Older 70s bass boat and clearly the deck isn't designed for my mount ..took pics of a few different options

You have shown us all orientations except the "right one". Place the motor on the starboard (drivers) side of the boat which places the prop and cables toward the "inside" of the boat. The motor shaft should run right down the starboard gunnel. The footprint for the mount is quite small and it appears you have plenty of surface are. The mount must hang slightly over the bow. As long as the four mounting holes are on the deck this orientation will work.

Ok silvertip .. what about this .. looks better to me ..only thing that sucks is there is a gap between the boat and mount

You have the motor too far back but other than that you have it right. You position the motor with it in the operating position and then mark the mounting holes. The way you have it the motor may hit the bow. If you have a gap between the motor and the deck you make a spacer to fill that gap. Any hardware store has all sorts or plastic spacers that can be used for that purpose. Lowes also has a good selection.

Yes -- It is a 1/4 scale RC. Stick built, fabric covered, 30cc Homelite for power.
