I think I "broke" my electric choke... 1989 Force 50HP would stall and die when I throttled up. I was able to hold the choke (ignition in) and it ran fine for a few seconds, then died again. After that I had no power to the starter/motor. Tried resetting the circuit breaker inside the motor, but ended up having to bypass it to get power. Now I can turn over the motor, but the click of the choke engaging is gone and the carb does not close when I press the key in. How can I troubleshoot the choke?
P.S. I am pretty sure the poor performance/stalling was due to water in the gas. Replaced the gas and will know more once I figure out this choke issue.
