The small metal tab that you push the female electrical connection on to The electric choke on my 4.3L Mercrusier broke off. I soldered it back on. There is no resistance between the tab I soldered back together and the spring coil inside the choke. Once the choke is re-installed there is no (Or very, very little) resistance between the tab I soldered and the body of the electric choke where the ground is connected. Does this sound correct? Or might my excess solder have caused a lack of isolation on the tab in question.
