emergency cut off switch for a 1988 johnson 225 v6 in a 23' robalo

just bought cut off switch for my boat.<br />took ignition switch and tested it out.<br />this switch consists of 6 wires need to know<br />how this switch works i have no schematic.<br />tested switch out with meter but no sucess,did <br />another test were we had the motor running<br />and we dropped off one wire at a time,the motor<br />never shut down through out the testing? is this motor shut off by shorting out to ground?

Yep, shorts to ground to kill. Here's what I have for your switch.<br />A-Purple<br /><br />S-Yellow & Red (start)<br /><br />M-Blk. & Yel (kill)<br /><br />M-Blk. (ground)<br /><br />B-Purple & Red (12vdc)<br /><br />C-Purple & Wht. <br /><br />Hope this works for you.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty
