ENG. Yr / Size?

Have a 72 SS-235 Slickcraft With an updated engine. It has a gm engine Ser. # on block is 14093638. It has a 5.7 Alpha One flame arrestor cover but the dipstick is on the right side of motor. 305 or 350? yr? Thanks

14093638...350...87-95...2 or 4...Roller or flat tappet cam, one-piece rear seal

Thanks guys, was told it was a 98. It seems like 87-95 and definately a 350.

It has a 4 BRL carb and says thunderbolt ignition. Wonder what the HP is? guessing 260?

Ayuh,.... That would be Correct,....

Vortec Heads weren't Intro'ed til 96....

OK, Update Found a Mercruiser tag on block. # f136421 Can that determan the yr? 95? The tag was on the rear of the block above starter.

Just like every Mercruiser SN tag.

It's a 1994 5.7L 235 hp
