Engine alignment issue

In the course of trying to get the engine aligned, I may have turned one side of the front mounts more than the other. The bar goes in and out with moderate resistance, but I would like to get it better. Is counting the threads on the mounts and making them equal an acceptable way to get back "zero" or is there another way?

Ayuh,... Generally speakin',... Nothing in boats is absolutely symmetrical,.. Ever...

Thread counts are meaningless,... The alignment bar is where the true answer comes from....

I figured that. I just went out and tried it again. It takes a good yank to get it out and the striations are very pronounced on the top of the bar and grease is barely touched on the bottom. Looks like I have some work to do tomorrow.

You need to lower the front mounts a little.

Bought a set of stubby "service wrenches" from Harbor Freight. Much easier to get it those tight spaces with them. Went down a full turn on each. Slides in and out like butta now. Well, almost.
