Hi all - I am preparing to replace the switch boxes in my merc and noticed the wiring appears cracked and in some places about to fall apart. So I've been looking into replacing the wiring harness as well. Trouble is, it seems to be really hard to find a replacement.
First of all I have 2 part numbers: R84-89564A1 and 84-96188A4. It seems the latter has replaced the former, but I'm not 100% certain.
My question is - does anyone have a source for these or compatible harnesses?
Failing that, is it tough to rebuild one? Has anyone tried that?
