Engine heater winterization

Here's my plan for boat winterization. Please tell me if I'm taking too much risk (i.e just out right screwing up). I have a 1996 26' Bayliner Cierra Sunbridge with an Alpha I outdrive. I live in Southern Maryland and store my boat on a lift in a protected creek off the Patuxent River. I run the boat approximately 50 hrs per year and just had the engine oil and outdrive serviced. I also have a heat exchanger installed on the cooling system. My thought is to have an approved marine engine heater installed in the engine compartment. This area has about two - three months of freezing weather so the duration is not that long. I plan to drain any water in the bilge, and heat exchanger, stablize the fuel and pump out the head holding tank. The fresh water systems are still winterized from last year with marine antifreeze because we never used them this season. Other than the risk of an electrical power interuption to my home/pier, should this not be good enough to get me through next season when I will do an 100 hr engine and outdrive maintenance. Is there something that I'm forgetting that could bite me?

Re: Engine heater winterization

There is a POWER loss allmost every winter at some point somewere from and ice storm

So i would just get all the water OUT of anything it can dammage and save on all that electric and needless fire risk
