Engine hours: 1999 Yamana HPDI 200

THinking of buying a used boat/motor. Broker says no way to tell engine hours. I say that ECU will likely contain the info digitally. 1. Does anyone know if the ECU diagnostic service program will output engine hours? It should.
2. What's normal compression?
Neither of these are in any Yamaha manual...

HPDI motors keep track of engine hours. Find a tech with the Yamaha diagnostic software to access the info.

That was my estimation, thanks. Any ideas on nominal compression?

no nominal compression specs.
all cylinders must be within 10 PSI of each other on the same tester.

don't want to hijack the thread but do all hpdi motors track the hours or what year did they start

Thanks for the responses. I just contacted Yamaha customer support in Atlanta @ 800-962-7926. Tech rep. said: "total engine hours are NOT available in this model year, even with a laptop/diagnostic tools". Bummer. Time to find a reputable tech to survey the motor.
