engine keeps running

my 1990 200 yamaha keeps running when ignition is off.guages go off .have to choke to tun off then turn off battery switch.also emergency kill switch does not shut off engine.any ideas?

white wire is not being grounded when turned off.

where is the white wire located?engine or console?

carefully test all ground connections.

the engine shuts down by grounding the CDI via the white wire on the keyswitch, circuit path is from the block, throgh the engine harness,then ign harness then the keyswitch and back to the CDI.
