engine mount trolling motor

Any body have any experiece with these? I am thinking of installing on 18' bayliner capri cuddy. Looking at navigator with 55 thrust

Never owned one but a couple things to consider,<br />1. It would be no more manuverable than your current steering would permit.<br />2. Reverse?

Thanks for the response. That is a good point on manuvering. I plan to use this mainly for reservoir fishing in western MT. But may also do some salt in Puget Sound. I am pretty sure they have reverse. I am also thinking if I go up to the 65 lb thrust it will give me some back up propulsion. I have been dead in the water a few times. Where just a little extra would have got me in.
