It is a omc manual(Ebay for about 60 dollars). do I have some other version than what everyone else is using?

it is in section 17 of the manual, page 6, 9, and 11 of the section.

It may be a OMC manual ,but for what type of drive?? You did read that 6 nuts were removed.
Stringer or Cobra.

Anthony, If that is the way you did yours, I would pull the drive to check the engine alignment witch is critical to long coupler life.If not , you`ll be pulling the motor the correct way to replace the coupler

Just because it CAN be done, doesn't mean it SHOULD be done that way.
