Re: Enough Already

So far, this last round has stayed north of us. Thank goodness!
Just to the east of you it was 60 deg. and raining today. Dodged another bullet again.

That's plain funny, Mr. Martin

I just tuned into the weather. Everybody stay safe and bring the dogs in.

I have a pair of silk thermal underwear my lady bought me to keep me warm. I own no boots, nothing flannel, few socks, no gloves, no dog, no firewood no facial hair, or a shotgun.......What the heck happened? I grew up in the Appalachian Mountains in West "By God" Virginia! And proud of it. Sometimes I miss that place. I would have loved to be sitting by the fire today watching it snow.

But....when the fish are biting in the Gulfstream...who are we to sit around thinking of snow?!?
I think you guy's should get one of those fire pits from Lowe's, build a fire, throw some ice cubes on the ground and sit around it in your shorts and sandals and then report back to us. :D Better yet put on the silk underwear and take pics that must be posted here. If you florida guys are going to keep posting on these winter threads that is the forum rule. :p

By the way Sasto...when you meet up in St. Augustine...don't tell the Mrs about me letting her go off to Va alone!!!

I've been fishing enough lately, Fireman. I want to see some snow and a fireplace.

What happens on the boat stays on the boat, no worries!

As to you Swabbie......careful what you wish for.

Re: Enough Already

Well picked up another 7 inches of the white fluffy overnight, and another 7 expected today, at least it is not heavy, the temp is only 8 degrees right now, so with the base under it, and the white fluffy on top, it is going to be an awesome day to be skiing or sledding! To bad my first duty is to shovel to the garage so I can do the plowing!

Upper 60s to mid 70s in SC. The cold jet stream went back up North. Record highs being set for February. Usually goes back and forth until April 10th . Sometimes early Spring settles in for good. I am hoping this is one of those years since a harsh winter came early. I have been out getting the boats ready to go. I feel your pain Northerners

Heck if I had a jet boat, I could fire it up and get to town and back, this snow we got is real slippery!

Complaining about snow up North is like complaining about rain on a motorcycle. Living in NC, we get a little from time to time but ususally gone in a day or two. :p :)

Re: Enough Already

Is there anybody left up north? It's 3 miles from town to the beach. I went to town today for supplies and it took half an hour returning home. License plates from several upper states and many from Canada...... Rental cars and snowbirds.

As long as they are having fun, I'll be happy to put up with them for awhile longer. I hope it warms up for you guys too.
