epoxy or poly for bow/keel reglassing ?

hello again, well after a long winter and my life and body getting in the wayi have been working on the boat again... (finally) ive got everything glassed and mostly sanded down and was looking at my gelcoat and it contains wax .... can i still use this to put multiple layers on and sanding between coats ? thanks

​You have two options, apply the next coat before it cures tack free, or sand between each layer. If you sand between each layer you end up sanding off 70% of what you put on, that's not too productive.

Ondarvr , thanks for the help.... looks like I will be putting multiple coats on while still tacky 😊 everything else is almost ready to go, can't wait to get her in the water.....

ondarvr, how long would you suggest i wait between coats ? just getting things ready to start and i figured i better ask before i start lol :) again thanks for the help and great information.

As long as it's not tack free you're fine, the actual time involved can vary a great deal. You should be able recoat it in about 20-30 minutes though.

Well my color matching sucked but I will take it lol..... all done now just have to wait for it to set up so I can do the final sanding and polishing . Not a great job but not bad for my first time 😁 .... thanks everyone for the help and wisdom ! Now to get the live well pump and hoses in to finish up, thank goodness

thanks everyone for the help with this project, been 3 weeks on the water fishing and no leaks and the repairs look good ! nice to have it done finally ..... :)
