Anyone know if there is still a forum just for E-Tech owners? I used to go through e Nation but when BRP collapsed so did E- Nation. I joined up for Barnacle bills and I read posts but I couldn't find a way to make a post. There's some stuff on the hull truth but I ended up having the same problem.
Just so you know or if somebody out there has info that I need, I have a 2009 Evinrude 115 E-Tec. Model number e115 DFX SEF.
I'm having problems with my trim and tilt. I have good power coming from the battery to the first lug on the outboard and the trim relay comes right off of that power lug. So I know I'm getting power. 12.7 volts. If I use the up button the motor runs very slow and I read a bunch of blogs about the relays going bad. They're a sealed unit. Wondering how to test to see if it's my relay or my trim motor. Also, wondering if you can remove the trim motor while the outboard is still on the boat. The wiring alone looks like a real pain.
If anybody knows of a specific E-Tech forum or has had this problem please advise. When I go to The parts House, the year of my motor is in there but I actually can't pull up my model number, which I thought was odd.
