it might help to go to ...marineengine.com...find your year, hp, model...they have diagrams of the motor parts and you can convey by part no. or name..exactly what is getting hot
you say that its ok but my buddys got the same lwer unit on his evinrude and it dont get that hot,so you can see why im concerned.i will take it sometime this week and try running it in the lake and see what happens
i replaced the impeller again because it got hot.when i submerge it in water it dont spray at all,when i put a hose on it itll spray a little bit but not enough to keep it cool.any ideas
This may not help, but you can see in the video my old '62 28hp pumped a whole lot of water. I've never touched the leg so I can't tell you if it were hot or not.
If there were chunks missing out of the old original impeller, those chunks may be lodged in the water tube, or in the cooling passages in the power head.
