As most know by now, I am planning a get-together for the iboats forum members and family this fall<br />on Sept.27th. and 28th.<br /><br />I know this is a long time away, but need to try to finalize this deal so I won't lose out rooms and such for this week-end.<br /><br />I have it planned for Alhonna Resort, which you can see here Alhonna.<br /><br />Please take a moment to browse their website to see what they offer, and go ahead and get your rooms reserved.<br /><br />Also, please see the post for shirt sizes.<br /><br />Why I am posting this is because I need to know some kind of number for people who are planning to attend, and one's that might be able to attend.<br /><br />I was needing a number so as to contact the people at Alhonna to talk about dis-counts they might give us.<br /><br />Have talked to them before about this and they said depending on how many was planning on coming as to the dis-counts.<br /><br />I know that some have said they will show up and some have said maybe, but need to know a number of the one's that due plan on going and the one's that might be able to go.<br /><br />Also, I'm hope to have some nice door prizes for the event. <br /><br />Also have a iboats member that is willing to provide t-shirts for the get-together.<br /><br />So if you don't care, please just reply with a I will, or I might so I can get a feel of how many there is. <br /><br />If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.<br /><br />Thanks for the interest. <br /><br />P.S.<br />As many knows and some don't, I have started a chat room just for iboats members.<br />If interested in this you can go here. chat group

SBN, I'm a defininate maybee (sorry but that's the best I can say at this stage, funds being wghat funds is).<br />The wife and I are holding onto a 60%probability of attending,as it stands now. The odds are gradually improving, and I'll be retired by that time.<br />So put me down as a "strong maybee",and will be the wife and I with pet (mini pin), as I don't have the heart to leave her behind....She'd begin to miss the dog.

Looks like now or rather March was a good time to join the forum....since I live in the Ozarks, I can give a YES, we would love to attend! Let us know what you decide on.

Slim chance of me making the trip this year. Maybe next time around. Even though I will most likely not make it I would like to thank you for your efforts at getting this thing together.

Unfortunately, at this time it looks like I'm a no-show.. <br /><br />Just took a second job that looks like it may become a full time position in a few months, so, most likely won't be able to take the time...

i'm planning on being there. i don't see a problem, unless we lose some people on my team (at work). we haven't had much turnover, or i should say average for a 4yr old conglomerate. <br /><br />i think it would be a great time to laugh, cutup, have fun, and meet everyone! i hope someone brings some fish fillets, cause i wouldn't want a shortage of food. lol

SBN, I will not be able to make it. I just drove by the Lake Of The Ozarks twice on my way to and from Bella Vista Arkansas to help my Mom and Dad out after my Dad had a stroke. He is going to be fine with no lastering affects<br /><br />Lake of the Ozarks looks like an awesome place to have a get together and catch some fish. Have a great time everyone.

Well, I have just been informed that we wont be able to go. From a 60% chance of being able to attend, all the way to zero! I'm very upset about it too. some folks actually go somewhere on thier vacations. I haven't been outta the state since 1991, and haven't actually vacationed anywhere since then!!<br />Living in the "number one vacation state",and having the 5th best fishing spot in the country less than 30 miles from my front door (Pine Island Sound) kinda takes the sting out....<br />Kind of, but not all the way! I don't ask for much, nor have I planned a 'great escape' in 12 years. But Mrs 12Footer said the "bugjet has just imploded".<br />This is because of a chain of high-priced nescesities are suddenly looming . Priorties dictate our lives.<br /><br />So , unless I win the lotto (and keep it quiet from Mrs 12Footer), I'll have to hope for a simular,closer get-together next year.<br /><br />I don't guess I'll EVER understand why everything happens in threes, but it does. Her car is now throwing oil past the rings, and 2 cylinders lost major compression (a 1993 Dodge "Die-nasty")...<br />Fridge compressor all of a sudden is waking us up when it starts at 2am.. <br />And now, a future dental bill we have to save for.<br />So much for retirement!!!<br /> <br /> Not at the wife, just at life in general.It simnply cannot bite enough sometimes!!<br />It could allways get worse, but living on the edge is getting old too!

12Footer,<br />It is amazing how people have a different perspective on life. Here you are complaining about not having left the state of Florida for over ten years, while my wife and I have been trying for several years to plan a trip TO Florida but haven't pulled it off yet. I'm there on business all the time but she and the kids haven't had a chance to come yet. Funny how much greener the other side of the fence is.<br /><br />I'm not rippin on you cause I think staying too long in any paradise would make anyone want a change at least for a little while.

Very true (greener grass). One day, maybee next year, if there is a get-together, the wife n I will be able to escape the skeeters, and meet everyone.<br />I'll be looking-forword to it.<br />Athough this is just a temporary setback, it couldn't have come at a worse time for me (wife seems to be taking it with a grain of salt).

Heh - sounds pretty interesting. Just have to figure out an itinerary that fits my budget. First of all the air ticket to Kansas is $1300 each, then add car hire. Being the first trip to the states, a couple of weeks travelling around would be nice. So accomodation for this comes too. Then food and beverages etc.<br /><br />Have to investigate this further before leaving a firm yes or no.

I can say that I am a VERY STRONG maybe. Depends on work load (technology is unpridictable). However i was hoping my project done by then and what better way to unvail.
