Everything seems in order, why won't it start?

I've got a 87 Johnson 40hp that's giving me fits. It quit on the water and later found it to be the power pack. I did all the electrical tests including using a DVA (thanks to the many users that shared how to build one). Got a new pack and all is good.
Now it won't start. Never had even a hesitation starting before the pack went. I've got great spark on both cylinders. Tested with a spark tester and by grounding the plugs. Jumped 1/2" on the tester and bright blue spark on the plugs. Compression is at 120psi on both cylinders. Fuel is pumping no problem. I tried squirting gas in the cylinder and even (forgive me) starting fluid. Not even a hint of ignition any way I try!
I'm decently experienced troubleshooting ignition, having revived 3 other old Johnsons from deep slumber. This one is boggling my mind!
What am I missing?

You may have spark but is it at the right time?

There are "stickies" at the top of the J/E topic line that may help you.

Agree with above. Plus, you may have sheared a flywheel key.

Yes! I had the pack output wires reversed! Running great now! Thanks for the wise advice!
