'89 4.3 Alpha One
twice now the boat has lost all power. The first time it happened the engine stalled. There was no power to gauges or anything. The second time it happened the boat shut down for an instant and then came right back to life. Never came off plane.

I hate intermittent problems. Where would you start looking?

check the main engine harness ,large round rubber connection. wiggle it with the engine running to see if the engine dies. these work loose from time to time.it should have a hose clamp on it .if it doesn't put one on it.also check the wire connections on the back of the key switch

Also it is good idea to spray electrical contact spray into the large connector plugs. Over time a small amount of moisture can cause corrosion and loss of contact.
