Evinrude 150 75th Anniv.

I recently got a new boat with a 150 hp Evenrude. It is the Commercial motor; 75th anniversary edition. The model number is: E150ANCRS. I've found info on deciphering the model number but cannot find any info on this model number....even on the Evinrude site. Does anyone know where I may find a downloadable manual? I just like to have references handy if needed. My only specific question right now is the gas/oil ratio....is it 50:1?

Downloadable nope. Spend the big money (not kidding) and get a factory OEM manual from https://www.outboardbooks.com/ One DIY repair will pay for the book

I take it your motor is not a VRO so yes 50:1 using TCW3 oil

Your 150 is a basic 150 hp model from 1984. You can look at the factory exploded parts diagram at this Bombardier website: epc.brp.com Just look for your model number in the 1984 150 hp category. According to the factory parts list this was originally a VRO engine, with a separate oil tank.

That is correct that it isn't a VRO. Thank you for the info I am certainly going to get the manual(s).

Since this is a new motor to me I just double checked to ensure the previous owner had not mis-informed me....there is no oil tank (and he stated that he mixed his fuel). Perhaps VRO was an option on some or either it was removed from this motor.This is still great info that I have bookmarked for future reference; thank you.

Your engine shipped from the factory with a VRO pump and a separate oil tank. Factory replacement VRO (fuel/oil) pumps are really pricey. Not unusual for some owners to convert back to the cheaper dual fuel pump setups last used on the 1983 models. This requires that you premix your fuel in the tank. Your engine should run fine with this current setup.
