Evinrude 4.5 Question

I recently purchased my first boat and boat motor. The boat motor is an Evinrude 4.5HP. I have been learning new things about motors and boats everyday but the one thing I cannot figure out is what the adjust control on the end of the handle or where the stop engine button is. I have attached a pic of what mine looks like. Thank you for any info.

I will guess because I have not seen a set up like that. In the diagram that part on the end of the tiller is called an idle/stop switch. So probably turn it to adjust idle and push in on the end for stop.

I got the Johnson version of that motor. I 'think' the adjust is for the throttle tension and the knob pushes in to stop the motor. Not sure since I have not used the engine very much.

Yes that makes more sense. I knew it was push to stop but the adjust I was not sure.
