A buddy of mine just got a new 60 hp rude on his 16 foot runabout. We ran the crap out of it a got the boat mid air many times resulting in the prop coming above the water, If we keep doin this are we gunna blow up that nice shiny motor?<br /><br /><br /> F-man

The new 60 Evinrude also has a computer aboard that records the running speeds of the motor. So each time the motor over-revs, that will be recorded into the memory, as well as the % of time at each 500 rpm intervals. If there are any warranty issues in the future, that could work against you.

Ok thanks guys, if we back off the throttle right before we get some airborne air is that ok.. well not ok but better for the motor?
