My engine (Evinrude 70hp 1989) starts and runs without problem when it's cold. But when it's hot it is somewhat sensitive after putting the gear in and start to throttle. Most of times it continues the "rpm-rise" despite the burbling but some times it also dies. This is quite frustrating when wakeboarding and you dont get that force you want in the start.
I wonder if anyone have ideas of what the problem can be? My theory has been if it's something wrong with the settings of the throttle and gear wire (OMC control). I have no tacho installed so i just set the idle based on feeling, also for some year ago I adjusted the gear wire. Is there a standard setting for those that makes the ignition become correct?
The engine runs perfect otherwise but it would be nice to also solve this little problem
Thanks in advise
