I want to remove the FastTrak trim/tilt unit from my outboard (a 98 V4 ocean pro model) because i need to paint it.
I have a SELOC manual and it start the description of procedure on how to disengage the wiring.
It says to remove the harness clamp then disengage the system 2 pin connector, disengage the 2 bullet connectors for the tilt limit switch, disconnect the remaining power wiring connectors, remove the rubber grommet ... and some more infos.
My question is where are all this connectors?
Are they located inside the lower cover of the outboard or they are on the side of the FastTrak unit???

I think all the connectors are inside the engine cowl, it wouldn't make sense to put plugs where they can get wet and corrode. Just follow the wires.

Mike, It will take some doing to get the wires out of the connector, but it is essential in order to get the wires to fit thru the hole in the transom clamp. Connector is on lower starboard side of the motor.

Connector is on lower starboard side of the motor.
I thought port side since all the control cable come from this side of the motor!
Anyway i double check it and i will write again!
