Ahhhhh, I can make these things stop leaking, with a proper re-seal job. :D Done many of them.

Here's a good little tip. If you by chance find out that you have to replace that lower unit, I would get one from a '57 35hp model. They have a tougher gear assembly and they hold up better to abuse, than the ones on the 25's.

i dont think i will need a new lower unit this engine was barely used i talked to the gut i got it from and his dad bought it brand new and has only used it a handful of times i hope it wont be too much troulbe to get it running again
