Evinrude fleettwin - any information?

Hi,

I have an old Evinrude Fleetwin (I think 7.5 hp) in the barn - it is in great condition, turns over when pulled and overall appears to be ready to go. Can anyone give me some background information about the engine and any suggestions regarding starting for the first time in probably 10 years or more.

First We need to know how old a motor You have.
Give Us the model and serial and We can let You know the year of the motor.

The 7.5hp Fleetwin Started in 1950 with a neutral clutch and 360 degree turnable. The 1954 models were re-designed as a full shift model (forward, neutral,, reverse) 1958 was the last year the 7.5hp was in production until 1980. It was re-introduced for three years, being the same basic design as the 6 and 8 hp motors. Post us a model number and pictures if you can
