Evinrude Identification

I'm new to this board and after reading a few of postings and answer I just had to get a password. You folks seem to know a lot about motors. Well I just got a boat with a 50 hp Evinrude on it. I am not sure what year it was made. The model number is 50272-C and Ser# 10003020. I would really like to get some information on this motor if possible. <br /><br />Thanks.

Just wondering if this has been a reliable motor in the past or does it have know problem's. Thanks for the information on the year model. Is there any where on the web you can type in the model number of a motor and find out information about that model. Again Thanks Alcan you have been a big help.

Hi Bucket.<br /> Just about everything you need to know can be found right here on this board. All you have to do is ask. As far as I know your twin cylinder 50hp is as good as any.
