Evinrude Lark !957 35 hp

Hi.
I was asking yesterday about a motor I'm considering to buy.I need some more info if any of you can help me.First ,was this engine both a long and short shaft engine. I will be using the engine on a 20' pontoon boat. Does this engine have a alternator or generator as a standard thing or an extra I'd need to buy to keep my battery charged ?
Think thats it for now .Thanks in advanve for any help.

they came in long and short shafts. electric start & generator were options. not standard. many electric start did not have generators. finding an operational one would be a wonder. also make sure the lower unit does not jump out of gear, when under load.
