Where can i buy a replacement engine mounting pad for a 235HP Evinrude? Mine has a roll of bolts on the sides and the ones in the middle that holds the motor. Thanks

Been in this business since 1960 but I have no idea what a engine mounting pad is. Need a better description..... the part number would be a great help.

Ok, it's what you bolt the motor onto the boat....it is poly on the outside and 2X6's on the inside or plywood. That is the best I can explain it...

Maybe it's called a transom mount....sorry not sure what it is called....just need one a replacement to put my motor on as mine has rotted out....Thanks

The 235hp has two metal transom brackets that bolts to the boat's transom with four bolts. Are you speaking of some kind of bracket that is attached to the transom, and then the engine bolts to that bracket?

Those rubber things are for motors that use clamps, not thru bolted mounts used for all larger motors. They were intended to protect wood/fiberglass from repeated clamping with easily removed motors. I haven't seen one in years (most small boats are built with protection by using metal, etc.). I can't imagine why one was used with your 225 HP ... clearly not needed if the boat is decent construction.

The first picture certainly looked like a neoprene pad over the transom, I have no idea about the 2nd one. Never seen a deal like that that I recall. What are the six holes about? The motor mounts with four bolts.

The six holes on the side is where it mounts to the back of the boat. This is on a pontoon houseboat. Thanks

That would be something the boat builder made and could provide, if still in business. Otherwise, you're on your own.

Agreed..... Now that we have the picture and know that we're speaking of a pontoon boat, the problem becomes clear. If the item is available from the boat manufactuer, it's simply a matter of purchasing a new one. If not, I would think that the thing to do would be to contact a reliable wood worker, carpenter, whatever, take your old one to them as a template, and have them make a new one for you..... of course with wood that is designed to be used in boatmaking.
