My Son-in-law bought an evinrude motor,Modle#50173s & serial#E08167. Can you tell him what year & horsepower motor he has? Also what is the fuel-oil ratio should he use?
Hi Robert<br /><br />Pretty common questions you have.<br /><br />Look here for info on year (50 hp 1971 I think) and more and/or use the search on these forums for words like YEAR or OIL RATIO.<br /><br />You'll find fuel/oil mix 50:1 is the most common - yet some posts have interesting info on other ratios.<br /><br />Another often given advice is 'get a manual' as it makes a lot of difference to a motor owner when he has written advice & photos telling 'how to'.
