1973 25 hp model 25302A,the pin on the recoil housing is bent.This is the pin that the outside part of the recoil spring goes over,Can this pin be replaced or is a different housing needed. This is the one on the housing not the cast one on the pulley.TIA

I believe Item #2 is a plastic pin and not the pin that the OP was asking about.

The one i need is metal and the recoil spring goes over it on the housing not the pulley

The housing is listed as NLA.----If in Canada----evinrudeparts.ca ----might offer help.----Or there is Amazon and E-BAY.

any possibility of installing a small bolt to replace the bent pin. you could just install it next to the existing pin ? even if it sticks out the top a bit you probably have a bit of room under the hood

The casting may be very thin there.----It should not be hard to find a good used housing !
