Evinrude Ski Lark?

I am looking for info on an old boat. It is an Evinrude Ski Lark with an Evinrude motor Model 40473R serial # 604375. I just bought this boat and have no idea what year or horsepower it might be. The motor has no markings except for "VI". I would like any info you have as I am considering restoring it. Thanks.<br />I also have a Johnson RXEL 16R 33hp motor I would like to know what year model it is.<br />Thanks.<br />

Hi Chicken the first motor is a 1964 40hp evinrude. I would imagin your boat is about the same year. If you can find the model # on the hull tag I can tell you for sure. The second motor is a 1968 model.

Hi Chicken<br />While I am not an authority one the history of OMC,Johnson or Evinrude. I have studied it some, in passing intrest. I believe all three companies made boats at on point or another. I know very little about things prior to OMC. I do have a list of boat models from 1964 to 1970. There are models 14'-19' some I/Os some outboards. I have no idea what the production numbers were. I don't know how rare any one model is or is not. There is a fellow that lives near me that has 5 I/O models parked around his house,in various states of disrepair. In my opinion these were the ugliest darn boats when they were new and they don't look any better now. That guy is sicker than I am.

hi chickenjoe i have a 33& 40 hp like that sitting in my shop they run great . ugley ?????maby . i may be to in the eyes of some but i still work great.my wife has kept me for 40 years.papasage>>>>>>>>
