Evinrude Sportwin years etc?

How do I tell what year a motor I bought today is? It has a serial number 10014-04354. I bought it at a estate sale today. It was stored in a basement for a several years. The lady was old and told me that it had belonged to her father. It was used for 1 seqason only. It has a Sterns custom cloth cover over it. Whe I removed the cover it is just like brand new.

That's a 1957 10hp - a very popular fishing motor

The 10 was built from 1949 thru 1963

Run it at a 24:1 mixture due to bronze bushings instead of roller or needle bearings inside it.
