Evinude 90 h.p model years

I have 2 evinrude outboards both are 90 h.p. and everything seems the same except one had the VRO which I promptly removed. I have peace knowing that chances of it failing is help me ? What I want to do is advertise that I'm looking for between 1980 something to years end. Thanks Capo4215

Evinrude (make sure you spell it right in your ad for better searching) stopped making 85s in 1981 and started making 90s. 90hp motors have been offered up till present. 2 stroke V4 crossflow ones through the early 90's.

1998 was the last year, there were some changes over the years, but most parts are interchangeable, the crank changed in 92. What year are yours, they started rating at the prop in 84-85.
