have never had a problem, went to start yesterday in drum, no start, so i do the trinity, spark good compression 110 both, plugs dry. shoot a couple of drop of premix in cylinder, fire off. so i remove cover, and an going to go for the carb, ( had just replaced 2 line hose to tank last week ) reconnected fuel line and gas was coming fromthe air side, had connected backwards on the tank. DOH!!! you can even get the gas line backwards on a pressure tank. DOH!!! feel like a fool, go ahead and make fun.

Ever put the spark plug leads on backwards? You pull and pull, and eventually you get a loud bang that wakes you up and then you change the plug wires.
How many times do you pull the pull starter before you realize you forgot to attach the kill switch lanyard?
Worst ever though was making a powerhead base gasket and leaving out the opening for the exhaust!

Its all good tash..............last week when I went to lake with my dad he was starting the motor as I parked the trailer......came back and he was cursing at the motor. Didn't connect the fuel line AT ALL (I leave in unhooked to keep presssure from pushing through the carb) AND the kill switch wasn't on. A double wammie8)

Now I haven't reversed plug leads, but I have forgotten to put the plug leads on completely, Thats really makes ya wonder after 10 minutes of pulling your arm out of its socket.

also when i remove the cowl, had to remove bottom plug, to get it off. after finding the reversed hose it ,would sputter, and try to start, i looked around and the plug was still out.

Ever split a muffler by putting the distributor in a small block chev 180-degrees off?

I, um, of course never have.

Then there's the time I crossed the oil send and oil return lines on my harley flathead. Fortunately, it just quit when it got too hot.

We usually do dumb things when we're ALMOST done with the project and can't wait to get it finished.

Such is life.
