This site has really been shaped up under the guidance and leadership provided in the form of locked files and zapped comments. It is really nice to have a forum that is so courtesy and friendly with no debate and no purpose in the comments. By the way have you noticed the nice weather.

[/whisper] I don’t know, it seems to me all you have to do is to make a feeble attempt to keep it on point. It’s worked for me today, for me so for.

Re: Excitement

I went to a restaurant one day last year, the service was bad, the food tasted worse than dog food, and they wouldn't listen to me when I complained.

I haven't been back since.

Think about it.

Perhaps you can find a place where you like the wine better and you can make up your own menu.

I like the food here, I think most feel the same. Even if we get frustrated from time to time, I always leave a tip.8)

Re: Excitement

Due to the sometimes difficulty in connecting to the site I must have missed something. Is iboats no longer useful for its design purpose - to be a forum for boat lovers to get or offer advice, make comment on life and generally enjoy themselves... just as we do in our boats?
I like the forum and haven't really taken much notice of the name calling or political bigotry - it mainly goes over my head... maybe that's why they call it downunder! 8)

I think, Tx, you have a majority of people on this site that have reluctantly come to the conclusion that they have been backing the wrong horse in this race. They keep beating it, but it won't make up any ground. Unfortunately, they have wagered too much on it, and don't want to accept the notion that it isn't going to pay off.

I recall the good old days, during the run up to this war in Iraq, where it was very lonely here to suggest that this war was wrong, and that it would result in an easy military victory followed by the peace from he!! and ultimate civil war.

Most everyone was very vocal telling me how foolish, unpatriotic etc (Fill in your own adjective) I was.

I keep waiting for the posts to come saying "By golly, PW, you were right and we all were wrong, and how could we have been misled so?"

I'm still waiting!

Those were better days for many, however, when you didn't have that pesky reality interfering with their idealogic vision of how the world should be.

A I agree the current is administration is a joke. Sadly, I would still vote for Bush over either Gore or Kerry. Those two were even bigger jokes. It seems like it was a choice to back a mule or a donkey. There were no horses in those races.

B None of the neo-cons here are ever going to do that.

C Should we hold our breath together?

Give me someone to vote for. Don't give me Hillary or some other ultra lib in disguise.

Re: Excitement

Utopia thru censorship is such a wonderful thing, I was only concerned with the weather. Gotta love those leave it or not people, such gross ignorance is special. Sometimes good things get off track and people redirect and save them but their are aways those without the brains who insist if you do not like it get out. My only question is why are they still here after the Democractic leadership if they truly believed in the love it or leave it theory.

thouhgt for today: Thank goodness the world is a better place because of the great leadership of this administration.

FWIW. I tend to agree with you. I was no fan of Kerry or Gore either.

You have to be careful when where you learn who the "ultra-liberals" are, however. For example, Howard Dean is not an ultra liberal. Kerry might be in that category, and I'm not sure of Hillary. Personally I'll be supporting Biden, and frankly I would not be upset with McCain.
We need to get these neo-cons out of there before they do even more irreparable damage.
