exhaust boots leaking

Both my exhaust boots are leaking. This happened I believe when it overheated as a result of the impeller going bad and then a new one being installed improperly by the marina.

Can these be changed without taking the manifolds off? I have the one piece manifolds.

I'm clear on checking the flappers and manifolds for clogging.

Thanks for any suggestions

You MIGHT be able to change the boots(not likley) but will probably need to loosen the manifolds to check and replace the flappers.
Your boat's 20+ years and the manifolds are probably original. They are at the end of their life span.
I'd think about changing to the two piece. The price for original one piece is anywhere from $450 to $650 EACH.
There are lots of aftermarket stuff a lot cheaper. If you can't find it on this site Cobemarine.com can answer all you questions. They carry OSCO and Barr manifolds.
